This course aims to equip learners with the understanding of the importance of safety while operating a Ride On Roller efficiently at work.
On completion of this course, candidates will;
Be aware of the employer’s responsibilities under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
Be aware of the employee’s responsibilities under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
Understand the rolling techniques including the principles of compaction.
Be able to safely operate a Ride On Roller.
Health & Safety Legislation & Regulations.
Discuss the role of the employer & employee in terms of Health & Safety in the Workplace.
Safe Use & Operation of the Ride On Roller.
Preparing an area for compaction.
Pre-Use Inspection.
Overhead & Underground Conditions.
Hazards and Risks associated with operating on the work site.
Classroom based power-point presentation and practical experience operating a Ride On Roller prior to assessment
This course is designed for those employees who operate a Ride On Roller as part of their normal duties.
Maximum of 4 learners.
3 to 4 hours.
Certificate of Competence will be issued to all learners who successfully complete & pass this course.
